Humber Valley Resort
St. John’s, NL

FMA was selected as the winner of a design competition. Originally they visited the site looking for design inspiration. The design team walked up to an outcrop on a hill and sat there sketching the majestic views of the Humber River and its Valley. Viewed from afar, the building takes its form from an eagle that flow over the hill as the architect was sitting there sketching the site. True to its name, this building ended up perched into the hillside.
