Goosebay Airport Corporation
Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL
The HVGB airport is a base for many flights to more remote communities through Labrador. The airport handles roughly 95,000 passengers a year. In 2013, we were approached to design a renovation and addition to the airport to accommodate increasing flight volumes. The form of the building is derived from airplanes. The materials are chosen to reflect the industrial area while still having sophisticated elements such as large expanses of curtain wall creating a comfortable and modern interior environment.
